Understanding the omnivore, vegetarian, vegan, and paleo dietary patterns: How they differ in disordered eating indicators

Background and Objective: Disordered eating behaviours are a spectrum of maladaptive that affect substantial proportion today's society, having been studied regarding their relationship with different dietary patterns. The present study aimed to better characterise the omnivore, vegan, vegetarian palaeolithic (paleo) patterns explore pattern's differences disordered indicators, sociodemographic data, motive choice pattern perception health value. Method: All data were collected online, comprising sample 447 [omnivores (n = 281), vegetarians 61), vegans 50) paleo 55)] women from general Portuguese population.
